Starting mental health care can come with a lot of questions. Below are some of the most common things clients ask before beginning care with Selora.

  • Yes. Selora partners with Headway to offer in-network care with many major insurance plans.

    You can verify your coverage and see your estimated cost before your first appointment.

  • Yes. Private pay options are available for clients who prefer not to use insurance.

    Private pay can offer increased flexibility, privacy, and a more individualized care experience.

    Cash-pay services are available for clients who are not using Medicare or Medicaid benefits. If you are covered by Medicare or Medicaid, services will be billed through your insurance when applicable.

    • Initial psychiatric evaluations

    • Medication management follow-ups

    • Therapy + medication visits

    Each visit is tailored to your individual needs and goals.

  • All appointments are conducted via secure telehealth, allowing you to access care from the comfort of your home.

  • Selora specializes in women’s mental health, including:

    • Anxiety

    • Depression

    • Pregnancy and postpartum mental health

    • PMDD and hormone-related mood symptoms

    • Perimenopause and menopause transitions

    • Stress, burnout, and life transitions

  • Selora Psychiatric Care is currently a fully telehealth-based practice. At this time, stimulant and other Schedule II controlled medications are not routinely prescribed as part of the practice model.

    However, comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, non-stimulant treatment options, medication consultation, and collaborative care recommendations are available when appropriate. Treatment recommendations are individualized based on each patient’s history, symptoms, goals, and clinical needs.

  • Care at Selora is thoughtful, collaborative, and designed around the full picture—not just symptoms.

    We consider the role of hormones, life transitions, stress, and identity in shaping mental health, and work with you to create a plan that feels supportive and sustainable.

  • After booking, you will:

    • Complete intake forms

    • Verify insurance (if applicable)

    • Receive instructions for your telehealth visit

    Everything is handled securely online through Headway.

    • Initial evaluation: typically 60 minutes

    • Follow-up visits: 20–45 minutes depending on your needs

  • Colorado.

  • We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

    Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.
